Kindle Oasis. Viva La Revolution.......
Looks like Amazon have finally listened to the masses and done something about the horrible "hand hold" positions of the old kindle and totally redesigned a new one, that not only looks good, but is easy to hold for any length of time.
No more sore thumb pads from gripping the narrow edges tightly to prevent it falling out your hand. Life is tough as a reader donchaknow?
Taking note of the picture below (click the picture if you want to go to the listing on Amazon), you can see that the first thing that is obviously different is the size and shape.
The actual screen size remains at 6 inches, but it's slightly shorter and slightly wider than the older kindles and most notably, a hell of a lot thinner (see picture further below). Here's a quick comparison between the Kindle Voyage and the Kindle Oasis.

As you can see, it's lighter, thinner, has a way longer battery life and comes with a charging cover as well. It's also, not surprisingly, more expensive.
Hey?, what's the point of bringing something new out if you can't charge more for it?
But when you consider the improvements of this model over the last, I doubt there'll be many who won't be willing to pay the extra price.
